ferry from Seattle

The best way to get to the island from Seattle and surrounding suburbs is to take the Bainbridge Island Ferry from the Alaskan Way Ferry Terminal. The earliest Ferry leaves at 6:10 AM on Saturday morning and is about a 35 minute sail. It will take an additional 20 minutes to drive to the park once getting off the ferry, which gives you plenty of time to get set-up, grab your race bib and be ready to run by 8:00 AM. Tickets for the Ferry can be purchased through WASHDOT here. Return ferries run all day at least once per hour until 1:25 AM.

You can drive to Bainbridge Island via the Key Peninsula through Poulsbo. From the Tacoma area it is only about 1 hour to Battle Point Park from downtown Tacoma. Driving is the best option from the Tacoma, Olympia, Bremerton/Port Orchard or Olympic Peninsula Areas.

Lodging Options

For those wishing to spend the night on Bainbridge or near the race start, there are a number of lodging options available in the downtown area near the Ferry Terminal and about a 15 minute drive from the race.

Another options is the Suquamish Clearwater Resort located just a short drive away from the race. This is located on the Key Peninsula Side near Poulsbo.
